REWILDING THE SELF
A creative approach to returning to your soulful depths and your place in the wild world

In service to healing, wholing and seeding the heart of the Earth
Rewilding the Self is the work of remembering who we truly are and our belonging within the wider web of life. It’s about shifting the way we think, feel, and perceive—cultivating a deep, lived sense of connection with Spirit, Soul, Nature, and Community. Through creative, nature-based, and soul-centered practices, we awaken the gifts and capacities within us that allow us to live in reciprocity, presence, and purpose in a world that desperately needs life-enhancing change.
“Through me course wide rivers and in me rise tall mountains. And beyond the thickets of my agitation and confusion there stretch the wide plains of my peace and surrender. All landscapes are within me. And there is room for everything.”
— Etty Hillesum-
We understand healing and wholing as a lifelong, spiral journey—one in which we return to the same growing edges again and again, each time deepening our understanding and uncovering new layers of growth. We are born creative, resourceful, and whole, and the work of wholing is about remembering and reclaiming that innate wholeness across mind, body, spirit, and soul, in personal, relational, and transpersonal dimensions. As we work our facets of wholeness, we ready ourselves to bring our souls’ unique gifts forward in service of life-sustaining culture for our human and more-than-human world.

The Wild Mind framework, developed by Bill Plotkin, is an eco-centric, psycho-spiritual map of the human psyche. It describes four innate facets of wholeness—each associated with a cardinal direction—and the wounded subpersonalities that form when these facets are not fully developed. Rather than trying to fix what is “broken,” this approach focuses on cultivating our natural capacities for wholeness. As these inner facets come online, fragmentation begins to heal. Relationship with the living Earth and the more-than-human world plays a central role in this process, helping us move beyond a purely ego-centered life toward one that contributes to the greater Earth community.

Rewilding the psyche is for those who long to move beyond healing alone and step fully into the creative, spiritual, and life-affirming dimensions of their being. It often calls to healers, teachers, visionaries, and social-change warriors who are seeking to uncover and embody their unique gifts in service to the world. Whether just beginning this journey or reflecting mid-life on the road not taken, it offers a path to reclaim presence, purpose, and the courage to contribute meaningfully.

Not at all. The practices we use draw on creativity as a natural human capacity rather than an artistic skill. Expressive arts in this context is not about making something beautiful or technically “good”—it’s about using simple forms like movement, drawing, writing, imagination, and time in nature as ways to listen inward and explore what is alive within you. Many people arrive believing they are “not creative,” only to discover that creativity is simply another language of the soul.

“Dancing Water’s Heartfire”Theresa has spent decades exploring psychology, integrative health, deep imagination, creative expression, and eco-spirituality — and she weaves these threads together to help individuals and groups awaken to their wild nature and soulful potential. She guides participants in reconnecting with themselves, the more-than-human world, and their innate wholeness through somatic, creative, and nature-based practices. Rather than offering solutions, Theresa creates spaces where participants can discover their own insights, heal through embodied experience, and cultivate authentic connection with self, community, and the living Earth.
